Abstract (German):Die schulische Selektion ist ein wesentlicher Faktor für die Chancengerechtigkeit im Schweizer Bildungssystem. Der Dachverband Lehrerinnen und Lehrer Schweiz (LCH) erachtet Selektionsprozesse in der Volksschule als notwendig, um Schülerinnen und Schüler passenden Bildungsangeboten zuzuweisen, wo sie gezielt gefördert und gefordert werden. Gleichzeitig sieht der LCH jedoch Handlungsbedarf für eine chancengerechtere Ausgestaltung der Selektion, insbesondere in Bezug auf Selektionsverfahren und Durchlässigkeit. Eine gerechtere Gestaltung der Bildungswege stärkt nicht nur die individuelle Entwicklung, sondern auch die Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft. (DIPF/Orig.)
Abstract (English):Selection in schools is a key factor in ensuring equal opportunites within the Swiss education system. The Swiss Teachers’ Association (LCH) considers selection processes in public schools to be necessary in order to allocate pupils in appropriate educational programmes where they can be specifically supported and challenged. At the same time, however, the LCH sees a need for action to make selection more equitable, particularly with regard to selection procedures and social mobility. A fairer structure for educational pathways not only strengthens individual development, but also society and the economy.
