Abstract (English):This essay deals with the universal right to education following the World Declaration on Education adopted in Jomtien, Thailand, in 1990, which at the time focused on access to basic education in both school and non-school institutions. Using Senegal as an example, the author examines a rural primary school, Islamic educational institutions, and basic education programs in an urban education center. She then asks how these different forms of basic education relate to each other. Do they complement each other or do they compete with each other? (Author)
(Autorin)
