| Abstract (German): | Medienpädagogik hat sich traditionell als Wissenschaft von und für die Praxis des Umgangs mit Medien verstanden und sich mit diesem Doppelanspruch übernommen. Programmatische Selbstdeutungen der Medienpädagogik, wie sie in unterschiedlichen wissenschaftszentrierten Modellen einer Vermittlung, ja bisweilen gar einer Verschmelzung von akademischer Forschung und professioneller pädagogischer Praxis sich artikulieren, werden einer systematischen Kritik unterzogen. Diese Kritik stützt sich auf Erkenntnisse sozialwissenschaftlicher Verwendungsforschung und auf forschungsprogrammatische und -praktische Entwicklungen, wie sie in der gegenwärtigen medienpädagogischen Diskussion sich abzeichnen. | Abstract (English): | Traditionally the educational analysis of media has defined itself as a science of and for media use in education - a double-charge of analytical and practical duties which in fact have overburdened this field of study. The paper criticizes those programmatical approaches to media research and media practice which are based upon simple knowledge-use models or even upon ideas of an amalgamation between the scientific-analytical and the practical pedagogical domain. This critique draws on recent social science research on the processes of knowledge diffusion, utilization, and exchange. (DIPF/Orig.) |
