| Abstract (German): | Die ‚Arbeit am Menschen’ wird innerhalb eines modernisierungstheoretischen Zugriffs in ihrem Professionalisierungsprozess skizziert. Dabei treten in einer historischen Dimension zwei zu professionalisierende Spannungsfelder in den Blick: ‚Care’ als Beziehungsangebot und Care als Pflegetätigkeit, die in Standards beruflicher Tätigkeit gegossen werden sollten. Ein solches Modell könnte der zunehmenden Prekarisierung von Care-Tätigkeiten entgegenwirken. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The concept 'working with people' will be outlined as a process of professionalization of 'care' within the theory of modernization. Two areas of conflict, historically speaking, are particularly of interest – namely 'care' as being the giver of an interpersonal relationship, and 'care' as an occupation. Both should be an integal part of the modern vocation of care. Such a model could act against the increasingly precarious care professions. (DIPF/Orig.) |
