| Abstract (German): | Im pädagogischen Denken hat die These von der Unvereinbarkeit von Erziehung und Organisation eine lange Tradition. Gleichwohl sind die Erziehungs- und Bildungsinstitutionen fester Bestandteil moderner Gesellschaften. Der sozialwissenschaftliche Ideenschub der sechziger Jahre hat dieses Dilemma nicht aufzulösen vermocht, sondern alte Unvereinbarkeitsthesen mit neuen begrifflichen Mitteln nur bestätigt. Seit den siebziger Jahren ist nun eine gewisse Stagnation der organisationsbezogenen Diskussion innerhalb der Erziehungswissenschaft, insbesondere im Bereich der Ansätze zur Theorie der Schule als Organisation, festzustellen. In dem Artikel wird versucht, durch Aufarbeitung eines bestimmten Stranges der aktuellen organisationstheoretischen und -soziologischen Diskussion neue Zugriffsweisen auf das Verhältnis von Organisation und Erziehung zu erproben: Es geht um den Abbau ebenso rationalistischer wie mechanistischer Organisationsvorstellungen zugunsten eines Bildes von „Organisation“, welches Unsteuerbarkeit, Situationsgebundenheit und Flexibilität sowie Undurchschaubarkeit in den Mittelpunkt stellt und damit der pädagogischen Reflexion neue Möglichkeiten eröffnet. | Abstract (English): | The idea of the incompatibility of education and organization has a long tradition. Yet educational institutions are a well established component of modern societies. The sociological approaches of the sixties have not helped to solve this contradiction; quite the contrary, they confirmed the old ideas of incompatibility, applying a new terminology. Since the seventies a certain stagnation has manifested itself in the educational debate on school organization in analyzing specific positions in the current discussion on organization theories and sociological research in this field, the author tests new approaches to the relation of organization and education. He aims at the invalidation of both rationalistic and mechanistic approaches in favor of a concept of organization focusing on uncontrollability, situational constraints, flexibility, and opacity, thus opening up new possibilities for pedagogical theorizing.
