| Abstract (German): | Die Pädagogik ist an den meisten Universitäten seit der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts aus einem vernachlässigten Nebenfach zu einem Hauptfach mit vielen Mitarbeitern und Studierenden geworden. Sie hat sich auch inhaltlich sehr verändert: von einer praktischen Disziplin zu einer Wissenschaft. Dieser Vorgang wird häufig pauschal als "Verwissenschaftlichung" (englisch: scientification) bezeichnet. Dabei wird leicht übersehen, dass die Pädagogik auch weiterhin eine Sonderstellung unter den Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften einnimmt, warum das so ist und vermutlich bleiben wird. Deshalb möchte der Autor auf einige theoretische und praktische Probleme aufmerksam machen, deren Beachtung das Verständnis für die Schwierigkeiten dieses Faches erleichtern kann. Er wird dazu vier Fragen beantworten und am Schluss eine Empfehlung geben. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Since the middle of the 20th century, pedagogy has, at most universities, evolved from a neglected minor subject to a major discipline with a lot of staff and a great number of students. There have also been many changes as to its content: the subject has turned from a practical discipline into a science in its own right. This process is often, in a sweeping manner, labeled as scientification. In doing so, it is often overlooked that pedagogy still has a special status among the cultural and social sciences, nor is it being investigated why that is the case and why it will in all probability remain so. Therefore, the author would like to draw attention to some theoretical and practical problems, the consideration of which will further an understanding of the difficulties the discipline is confronted with. To this end, four questions are answered and, in the final part, a recommendation is submitted. (DIPF/Orig.) |
