| Abstract (German): | Dieser Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit einem weit verbreiteten qualitativen Auswertungsverfahren, das auch in die medienpädagogische Forschung Eingang gefunden hat: der Qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse (QIA) nach Philipp MAYRING. Ausgehend von einem kurzen Abriss der Entstehungsgeschichte der (quantitativen) Inhaltsanalyse und deren Bedeutung für die Medienforschung und medienpädagogische Forschung wird die QIA näher vorgestellt. Im Zentrum stehen induktive und deduktive Auswertungslogiken sowie die verschiedenen Auswertungstechniken der QIA, die anhand von Beispielen aus medienpäda-gogischen Projekten, auch aus der vorliegenden Publikation, näher erläutert werden. Darüber hinaus wird auf die Gütekriterien der qualitativen Forschung sowie auf eine für die Anwendung QIA geeignete Auswertungssoftware (QCAmap) eingegangen. Abschließend werden Potential sowie Limitationen der QIA für die medienpädagogische Forschung diskutiert. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article examines a widely accepted qualitative analysis method - Philipp Mayring's Qualitative Content Analysis (QIA) - which has also found widespread use in the field of media education research. The article begins by outlining the development of (quantitative) content analysis and its significance for media research and media education research, before examining QIA in greater detail. The article focuses on inductive and deductive evaluation approaches and the various evaluation techniques within QIA. These are explained in detail using also examples from the media education projects published in this volume. Furthermore, the article also examines the quality criteria governing qualitative research and the analytical software (QCAmap) which supports QIA. Finally, the article discusses the potentials and limitations of QIA for media education research. (DIPF/Orig.) |
