| Abstract (German): | Die europäische Vereinigung von ErwachsenenbildungsforscherInnen, besser bekannt als „European Society for Research on the Education of Adults“ (ESREA), zählt als 1991 gegründete Forschungsgesellschaft mittlerweile 182 Mitglieder aus 37 verschiedenen Ländern. Die transnationale Kooperation der beteiligten WissenschaftlerInnen umfasst neben der Veranstaltung einer gemeinsamen Konferenz und der Herausgabe von Publikationen u.a. auch die kontinuierliche Förderung wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen kurzen Einblick in die Geschichte, Struktur und die Aufgaben von ESREA. Zu Wort kommt der Vorsitzende des Leitungskomitees von ESREA, Andreas Fejes, Professor für Erwachsenenbildung an der Universität Linköping in Schweden. Er sprach mit der Autorin über die Rolle der Erwachsenenbildung im internationalen und globalen Kontext sowie über die aktuellen Ziele von ESREA. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Founded in 1991, the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults (ESREA) is a research society that now has 182 members in 37 different countries. Examples of transnational cooperation between participating scientists include organization of a joint conference, production of publications and ongoing promotion of young researchers. This article provides a brief glimpse into the history, structure and tasks of ESREA. The chair of the ESREA Steering Committee is Andreas Fejes, Professor of Adult Education at Linköping University in Sweden. He spoke with the author on the role of adult education in an international and global context as well as the current goals of ESREA. (DIPF/Orig.) |
