Abstract (Deutsch):Digitale Schulentwicklung wird als kommunikatives Ordnungsproblem rekonstruiert. Abstract (Englisch):Digital school development is reconstructed as a communicative problem of estab-lishing order. The starting point is the assumption that digital transformation be-comes organizationally actionable in school organizations when heterogeneous responsibilities, expectations and accountabilities among school authorities, schools, media coordinators, academic partners and other stakeholders are translated into manageable decision-making contexts. Transprofessional communication refers to a procedural coordination effort in which differences between pedagogical, administrative, technical, and scientific logics of action are related to one another. To this end, a heuristic analytical perspective is developed, that distinguishes three simultaneously effective dimensions: normative claims, structural conditions for connectivity and media arrangements. Empirically, this perspective is tested using two reconstructive vignettes from network meetings and workshops in the project TOBIS (2024 – 2028). The analysis reconstructs how school authorities stabilize coordination orders through decisions on formats, procedures and infrastructures, thereby co-constituting orders of responsibility, knowledge, and participation. At the same time, ambivalences become visible: the setting of formats, documentation practices and infrastructural standardization enable participation but also operate selectively, because certain perspectives can be translated into decision-ready formats more easily than others. The contribution to media education lies in making digital school development analytically accessible as the design of institutionally framed communication spaces and decision architectures.
