| Abstract (German): | Das Thema Gemeinschaft wird in der historischen Pädagogik gewöhnlich unter ideologiekritischer Perspektive betrachtet. Der Artikel versucht demgegenüber zu zeigen, daß "Gemeinschaft" im Übergang zur Moderne zu einem theoretisch notwendigen Begriff wurde, um die Erfahrung des Individualismus (Individualpädagogik) zu bearbeiten. Im Zuge dieser Bearbeitung entstehen die modernen Konturen sozialpädagogischen Denkens. Sie führen gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts zur ersten akademischen Debatte um Sozialpädagogik. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Usually, the issue of community is considered from an ideology-critical perspective in historical pedagogics. Contrary to this point of view, the author argues that, in the transition to modernity, "community" became a theoretically necessary concept for the processing of the experience of individualism (Individualpädagogik). In the course of this processing, the modern contours of social-pedagogical thinking evolved. These, in turn, led to the first academic debate on social pedagogics at the end of the nineteenth century. (DIPF/Orig.) |
