| Abstract (German): | In diesem Beitrag wird der Versuch unternommen, die wichtigsten Begründungsstränge und kritischen Einwände der Autonomiediskussion nachzuzeichnen und mit der Diskussion um Qualitätssicherung von Schulen zu verbinden. Es wird gefragt, welcher Begriff von Qualität dabei eine Rolle spielt und wie Qualität zu sichern ist. Dabei werden sowohl Modelle der Evaluation erörtert als auch neuere Untersuchungsergebnisse wiedergegeben, die diesbezügliche Lehrereinstellungen erhoben haben. Abschließend wird analysiert, daß Autonomie zwar Entbürokratisierung, aber nicht notwendig Entstaatlichung bedeuten muß und wie und warum sich Markt und Wettbewerb in pädagogischen Handlungszusammenhängen grundlegend anders darstellen als in wirtschaftlichen. | Abstract (English): | The authors sketch the major arguments and critical comments advanced in the discussion on school autonomy and link these with the debate on maintaining the quality of schooling. The question is raised which concept of quality plays a role in this and how quality can be ensured. The authors both discuss models of evaluation and report recent research results concerning teachers' attitudes regarding this issue. Finally, it is argued that, although autonomy may entail debureaucratization, it does not necessarily entail a withdrawal of the state; and the [authors] show how and why the concepts of market and competition in pedagogical contexts differ fundamentally from those employed in economic contexts.
