| Abstract (German): | Den Ausgangspunkt des vorliegenden Beitrags bildet Colin Crouchs Konzept von Postdemokratie in Abgrenzung zum vieldeutigen, oftmals herrschaftsförmigen Begriff Governance. Dieses Konzept von Postdemokratie wird mit einem Foucault‘schen Theorierahmen von Regierung, Macht und Wahrheit verknüpft, um Bedingungen der Produktion und Vermittlung von (ökonomischem) Wissen aufzuzeigen. So soll verdeutlicht werden, wie Wirtschaftswissen Subjekte regiert und damit letztlich Akzeptanz von postdemokratischen Entwicklungen insbesondere im Feld von Wirtschaftspolitik gewährleistet. Im Hinblick auf die Sicherung demokratischer Grundlagen schließt der Beitrag mit einem Plädoyer für eine kritisch-emanzipatorische Erwachsenenbildung. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article‘s point of departure is Colin Crouch‘s concept of post-democracy as distinct from the ambiguous term governance, which often describes a form of dominance. This concept of post-democracy is connected with Foucault‘s theoretical framework of government, power and truth in order to show conditions for producing and conveying (economic) knowledge. This should explain how knowledge of economics governs subjects and thus in the end guarantees acceptance of post-democratic developments in the field of economic policy in particular. With regard to safeguarding the fundamentals of democracy, the article closes with a plea for critical emancipatory adult education. (DIPF/Orig.) |
