| Abstract (German): | Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt sich der Frage, inwiefern mit dem soziokulturellen Stadtteilprojekt „15., Süd“ (1997-1999) beigetragen werden konnte, Wissen, Fähigkeiten und Einstellungen der betroffenen StadtteilbewohnerInnen mit Blick auf die acht Schlüsselkompetenzen für lebenslanges Lernen zu fördern. Ziel des Projektes war es u.a. gewesen, im „ärmsten Bezirk Wiens“ (beengte Wohnverhältnisse bei einem hohen Anteil an Substandardwohnungen und geringem öffentlichen Grünflächenanteil, überproportional hohe Anteile an sozial schwachen Einkommensschichten etc.) Kommunikation und gewaltfreie Konfliktlösung, kulturelle Vielfalt und interkulturelles Lernen zu stärken. Und mehr noch: Freizeitgestaltungsmöglichkeiten sollten geschaffen und so die Lebensqualität für alle StadtteilbewohnerInnen erhöht werden. Die Autorin gewährt einen Einblick in Ausgangslage, Leitlinien, Vorgehen und Umsetzung der zahlreichen facettenreichen Angebote und Initiativen. Viele Impulse gingen von den StadtteilbewohnerInnen selbst aus und gaben ihnen so die Möglichkeit, sich aktiv an der Gestaltung ihrer unmittelbaren Gesellschaft zu beteiligen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The present article deals with the question to what extent the socio-cultural local community work project “15., Süd” which ran from 1997-1999 was able to contribute to promoting the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the district inhabitants involved in the project while keeping in mind the eight key competences for lifelong learning. One of the project‘s goals was to strengthen communication and non-violent conflict resolution, cultural diversity and intercultural learning in “Vienna’s poorest district”, a district characterized by crowded housing conditions and disproportionately high shares of socially underprivileged low income groups. And what is more: It was planned to create recreational facilities, which would result in a better quality of life for all of the district‘s inhabitants. The author provides a glimpse of the starting point, guidelines, processes and implementation of the many and multifaceted offerings and initiatives. Many impulses came from the district inhabitants themselves and thus provided them with the possibility to actively participate in the design of their immediate environment. (DIPF/Orig.) |
