| Abstract (German): | Dieser Beitrag gibt Einblick in Entwicklung, gesetzliche Grundlagen und Teilnehmendenzahlen der "Schulen für Berufstätige", die seit den 1970er und 1980er Jahren die Möglichkeit bieten, neben der Arbeit eine systematische, abschlussorientierte Bildung zu erwerben. Mit der Gesetzesreform im Jahr 2010 kam es zu einer Modularisierung der Bildungsgänge und zur Ausbildung sogenannter Modulverbände. Die neue Gesetzeslage sieht zudem den Einsatz von Lerncoaching-Maßnahmen vor, die in den Jahren 2011 und 2012 zu einem deutlichen Rückgang der Drop-out-Quoten führten. Ein Blick auf Fachhochschulstudiengänge für Berufstätige, die Berufsreifeprüfung, Universitätslehrgänge und Fernstudienangebote rundet die kurze Zusammenschau ab. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article gives insight into the development, legal basis and numbers of participants of the schools for people in work (Schulen für Berufstätige in German) that have provided their participants with the opportunity to obtain a systematic, diploma-oriented education besides working since the 1970s and 1980s. Legislative reform in 2010 brought about a modularization of educational programmes and the creation of what are called module units (Modulverbände in German). The new legislation also includes learning coaching measures, which has led to a significant decline in drop-out rates in 2011 and 2012. A look at degree courses at universities for applied sciences for people in work, preparatory courses for the higher education entrance examination for persons having completed their vocational training, university graduate programmes and distance-learning courses round off this survey.
