| Abstract (German): | Es scheint, als habe „ästhetische Bildung“ gegenwärtig Konjunktur, und zwar weit über die Ränder einer Didaktik der Kunsterziehung hinaus. Im vorliegenden Aufsatz wird dieses Interesse positiv aufgegriffen und als Symptom unserer kulturgeschichtlichen Situation interpretiert. Hält man indessen an einer Kontinuität von Problemstellungen ästhetischer Bildung seit Schiller fest, dann ergeben sich, auf dem Niveau unserer Gegenwart und als wissenschaftliche Fragen, zunächst einige Schwierigkeiten. Was verdient heute den Namen „ästhetisches Urteil“? In welcher Weise ist dies auf innere, subjektive Empfindungen bezogen? Welche Rolle spielen ästhetische Symbole? Wie kann deren Bildungsbedeutung im Hinblick auf die Verschiedenheit der Sinne und ihrer Medien diskutiert werden? Derartige Fragen werden nicht beantwortet, vielmehr nur in einem ersten Zugang konturiert. Sie laufen vorerst auf die Frage hinaus, ob ästhetische Bildung/Erziehung in der Form differenzieller semiologischer Lehrgänge zu konzipieren sei oder als Reflexion ästhetischer Empfindungen/Tätigkeiten und ob die ästhetische Didaktik des „Bauhauses“ nicht vielleicht eine Antwort vorgezeichnet habe. | Abstract (English): | Recently we seem to experience an emphasis on aesthetics going far beyond the scope of a didactics of art education. The author takes up this interest and interprets it as a Symptom of our cultural-historical Situation. Assuming a continuity in conceptualizing problems of aesthetic education since Friedrich Schiller, several difficulties will arise when translating these conceptualizations into modern research questions: What does the term „aesthetic judgement“ nowadays signify? In what way does this refer to our inner, subjective sensations? In what are aesthetic Symbols important? How can their educational significance be discussed in view of the distinctness of the senses and their media? A tentative approach to questions such as these is sketched in this article. In a first step this leads to the question of whether aesthetic education/training has to be conceived in the form of reflections on aesthetic sensations/activities, and whether an answer is to be found in the aesthetic didactics of the „Bauhaus".
