| Abstract (English): | Evidence from organizational psychology for the benefits of goal setting for performance is promising, but it is unclear whether these findings also apply to preschool teachers. The present study explored this and found that preschool teachers’ team goal setting was positively associated with pedagogical process quality in the domain of science education, but not language education and social-emotional support. | Abstract (German): | Es gibt vielversprechende Erkenntnisse aus der Organisationspsychologie zum Zusammenhang zwischen Zielsetzung und Leistung, aber es ist unklar, ob diese Erkenntnisse auch für frühpädagogische Fachkräfte gelten. Mit der vorliegenden Studie wurde dies untersucht. Die Zielsetzung des Teams frühpädagogischer Fachkräfte war positiv mit der pädagogischen Prozessqualität im Bereich der naturwissenschaftlichen Bildung, nicht aber in den Bereichen sprachliche Bildung und sozial-emotionale Unterstützung assoziiert.
