| Abstract (German): | Der Blick auf die Entwicklung der Pädagogischen Hochschulen in Baden-Württemberg zeigt, dass die Debatten Parallelen zur Schweiz aufweisen, obwohl sie mit einem Zeitunterschied geführt wurden. Der Beitrag zeichnet den Ausbau der Pädagogischen Hochschulen und ihrer Nachwuchsförderung seit 1962 nach. Dabei wird ein Spannungsverhältnis sichtbar, das bis heute den Emanzipationsprozess der Pädagogischen Hochschulen prägt: Einerseits mussten sie sich gegen die Kritik behaupten, für die «nicht gymnasialen» Lehrämter zu viel Wissenschaftlichkeit zulasten der Praxis anzustreben, anderseits sollten sie ihre Forschungskompetenz unter Beweis stellen. Dennoch gelang es ihnen, zu Hochschulen universitären Profils zu werden, ohne ihren Charakter aufgeben zu müssen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | A look at the development of universities of education in Baden-Württemberg shows that the debates have had parallels to the ones in Switzerland although they were conducted with a time difference. The article explores the development of universities of education and their promotion of young academics since 1962. Within this development, a tension becomes visible that still characterizes the process of emancipation of universities of education until today: on the one hand, the universities of education had to assert themselves against the criticism that they were striving for too much orientation towards science and research at the expense of practical preparation programmes for «lower» school levels; on the other hand, they were supposed to prove their research competence. Nevertheless, they succeeded in becoming university-like institutions without having to give up their unique character. (DIPF/Orig.) |
