| Abstract (German): | Seit 1998 wird in Japan unter dem Titel "Erziehung des Herzens" (japanisch "Kokoro no Kyoiku") eine neue Form der Moralerziehung entwickelt und erprobt. Die Förderung moralischer Sensibilität scheint sich dabei in einer Weise auf Sentimentalität zu verlassen, die für europäische Vorstellungen auf Kosten der Vernunft zu gehen scheint. Das 2002 unter dem Namen "Heft des Herzens" dazu erschienene Lehrmittel lässt Bedenken gegenüber dieser Form von Moralerziehung wachsen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | A new scheme of moral instruction, the "Education of the Heart", has been developed and practiced in Japan since 1998. Under this scheme the cultivation of moral awareness tends to rely too much on sentimentality at the expense of rational thought. The textbook on morality, published in 2002 and entitled "Notebook of the Heart" raises increasing concern about this approach to moral instruction. (DIPF/Orig.) |
