| Abstract (German): | Neue Langzeitstudien und Meta-Analysen lassen darauf schließen, dass der Umfang des Fernsehkonsums doch stärker für Gewalttätigkeit mit verantwortlich ist als bisher angenommen. Angesichts der zunehmenden Menge an Medien mit realistischer und interaktiver Gewaltdarstellung sowie des immer früher einsetzenden Medienkonsums müssen diese Befunde bedenklich stimmen. | Abstract (English): | New long-term studies and meta-analyses allow the conclusion that the extend of television consumption is in greater measure responsible for violent behaviour than previously thought. In the face of an increase in the amount of realistic and interactive presentations of violence and the ever earlier beginning of media consumption, these findings have to be taken seriously.
