| Abstract (German): | Service Learning ist ein Lehr- und Lernkonzept, das Studierende und Schüler*innen mit theoretischem Wissen ausstattet und ihnen praktische Erfahrungen in Nonprofit-Organisationen ermöglicht. Dabei werden disziplinübergreifende Interaktionen innerhalb des Bildungssystems und zwischen Bildungssystem und Zivilgesellschaft gefördert. Im deutschsprachigen Raum haben sich über 40 Hochschulen im Hochschulnetzwerk Bildung durch Verantwortung zum Thema Service Learning organisiert. Die didaktischen Gestaltungsvarianten von Service Learning sind bisher noch weitgehend unerforscht. Der Text beschäftigt sich mit den Qualitätskriterien und -standards für Service Learning sowie den wissenschaftlichen Fragen, die sich bei der Umsetzung des Konzepts stellen. (Herausgeber) |
| Abstract (English): | Service learning is a teaching and learning concept that equips students and pupils with theoretical knowledge and gives them practical experience in nonprofit organizations. It promotes cross-disciplinary interactions within the education system and between the education system and civil society. In German-speaking countries, more than 40 universities have organized themselves in the university network Bildung durch Verantwortung (Education through Responsibility) on the topic of service learning. The didactic design variants of service learning are still largely unexplored. The text deals with the quality criteria and standards for service learning as well as the academic questions that arise in the implementation of the concept. (Editor) |
