| Abstract (German): | Es wird die These vertreten, daß Schule einen grundlegenden Einfluß auf menschliche Entwicklung ausübt und dadurch zugleich generelle Voraussetzungen für Lebensbewältigung schafft. Im Bereich der kognitiven Entwicklung zeigt sich der Einfluß der Schule im Aufbau und in der Nutzung von Sprache in aussagenlogischer Form. Kulturvergleichende Ergebnisse werden unter der Perspektive der Dekontextualisierung und Bereichsspezifität diskutiert. Der Einfluß von Schule auf den Aufbau der Motivationsstruktur wird zunächst unter dem Aspekt der Bildung von Gegenstandsbezügen mit abstrakter Valenz beschrieben. Sodann wird die Wirkung von Schule auf die Übernahme der modernen Arbeitsstruktur dargestellt. Schließlich wird Schulversagen unter der Perspektive von Reproduktions- und Widerstandstheorie behandelt. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The article holds the thesis that school education influences basicly human development thus providing competences for coping with life. Cognitive development is shaped by school towards formal reasoning and the development of formal logical thinking sensu Piaget. Empirical findings are discussed from the perspective of decontextualization and domain specifity. The development of motivational structure is influenced by the school in establishing object references with abstract valence. School also elicits and promotes the internalization of the structure of modern work. Finally, low school performance is discussed from the perspective of reproduction theory and resistance theory. |
