| Abstract (German): | In diesem Beitrag wird das Problem des "funktionalen Analphabetismus" auf zwei größere Zusammenhänge zurückbezogen: 1. auf eine aktuelle Krise der Elementarbildung in der modernen Gesellschaft und 2. auf einen weiteren pädagogischen Herausforderungs- und Traditionshorizont. Aus diesen Zusammenhängen wird eine "neue Elementarbildung für Erwachsene" zu begründen und zu profilieren versucht. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article puts the problem of "functional illiteracy“ into two larger contexts: It shows the connection 1) with an actual crisis of elementary education in modern societies and 2) with a general educational challenge and tradition.
