| Abstract (German): | In diesem Beitrag werden Ergebnisse aus einem Dissertationsprojekt vorgestellt, welches als Teil des Gesamtprojektes ProME die Rolle von Ungewissheit in der Emergenz, sowie der Bearbeitung von Norm-Habitus-Spannungen fokussiert. Zu diesem Zweck wird die Konzeptualisierung des Lehrkrafthandelns als Entscheiden angewandt, so wie sie im Projekt ProME als zentrales Forschungsanliegen entwickelt wurde (vgl. z.B. Bakels et al. 2024a). Mithilfe dieser Heuristik konnte rekonstruiert werden, dass Ungewissheit in Handlungsentscheidungen verschiedener Art routinisiert vermieden wird. Entlang einer international vergleichenden dokumentarischen Analyse der Praxen zweier Fremdsprachenlehrerinnen in den USA und in Deutschland illustriert dieser Beitrag, wie Ungewissheit an die Unverfügbarkeit der Lernsubjekte geknüpft ist und wie sie sich in der Relationierung individualisierungs- und standardisierungslogischer Normen manifestiert. Die Trennung der weltlich-privaten und schulisch-professionellen Sphären erweist sich dabei als zentral. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article presents results from a dissertation thesis which, as subproject of the ProME research program, focuses on the role of uncertainty in the emergence and processing of norm-habitus tensions. For this purpose, the conceptualization of teaching action as decision-making is applied, as it was developed in the ProME project as a central research objective (cf. e.g. Bakels et al. 2024a). The use of this heuristic allowed the reconstruction of the routined avoidance of uncertainty in various types of decision-making. Based on an international comparative documentary analysis of the practices of two foreign language teachers in the USA and in Germany, this article illustrates how uncertainty is linked to the unavailability of the learning subjects and how it manifests in interrelating norms following a logic of either individualization or standardization. The separation of the worldly-private sphere from the school-based resp. professional sphere proves to be central in this context. (DIPF/Orig.) |
