Abstract (English):Recently, post-truth practices have been on the rise in public discourse, using the authority of science to gain symbolic power. Against this backdrop, I will discuss the relevance of a sound theoretical education for educational scientists. Rooted in a systematic understanding of theories and methodologies, science can fullfill a crucial social responsibility: providing orientation between opinion and knowledge, facts and fakes.
