| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag untersucht Sanktionspraktiken der Neuen Autorität in kritischer Perspektive. Es zeigt sich, dass das Konzept der Neuen Autorität Machtverhältnisse verdeckt stabilisiert. Anhand exemplarischer Fallgeschichten der Neuen Autorität wird gezeigt, dass Strafen als neutrale „Konsequenzen“ erscheinen und ihr Strafcharakter entpersonalisiert wird. Autorität vollzieht sich dabei als scheinbar sachlogische Regelanwendung, während Aushandlung suspendiert bleibt. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | The paper critically examines sanctioning practices as proposed within the New Authority approach. It shows that the concept of New Authority covertly reinforces existing power relations. Analyses of exemplary textbook cases published in a textbook on NA in schools demonstrate how punishments are presented as neutral “consequences”, while their punitive nature is depersonalized. Educational authority is presented as a seemingly rational application of rules, with any chance of deliberation or discussion suspended. (DIPF/Orig.) |
