| Abstract (English): | With his revised work Visible Learning: The Sequel (2023), John Hattie seeks to provide guidance through the jungle of educational research - but how reliable is this guidance, and might handbooks and clearinghouses ultimately be the better choice? Using three exemplary factors - the relative age effect, bullying, and the summer vacation effect - the author shows in Staff Paper #27 that quantity does not automatically equal quality and that the simplified presentation of research findings carries the risk of being misleading.
