| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag greift Demokratiebildung in schulischen und hochschulischen Kontexten auf und entwickelt mit dem Konzept der körperbezogenen Selbstbestimmung eine allgemein-didaktische Perspektive, die Demokratiebildung als verkörperte Erfahrung in Lehr-Lern-Situationen versteht. Demokratische Teilhabe wird nicht allein über Wissen, Urteilsfähigkeit oder formale Beteiligungsstrukturen vermittelt, sondern auch durch leiblich vermittelte Erfahrungen von Handlungsmacht, Zugehörigkeit und Begrenzung geprägt. Körperbezogene Selbstbestimmung wird als analytische Kategorie profiliert, mit der sich die demokratische Qualität von Lehr-Lern-Situationen jenseits kognitiver Zugänge beschreiben und reflektieren lässt. | Abstract (English): | This article addresses democracy education in school and university contexts and, using the concept of body-related self-determination, develops a general didactic perspective that understands democracy education as an embodied experience in teaching and learning situations. It shows that democratic participation is not achieved solely through reflexive skills or formal participation structures, but depends significantly on physically mediated experiences of agency, recognition, and limitation. Body-related self-determination is profiled as an analytical category that can be used to describe and reflect on the democratic quality of teaching and learning situations beyond purely cognitive approaches.
