| Abstract (German): | "Der Beitrag möchte einige der Facetten des neuerdings vielfach in die Debatte geworfenen Programms einer Selbstsozialisation aufzeigen. Was verstehen verschiedene Protagonisten darunter und welche Rolle könnte das Konzept im Prozeß der notwendigen Reformulierung von Sozialisationsforschung spielen? Im Fortgang des Essays sollferner der kulturelle und wissenschaftliche Kontext ausgelotet werden, in dem das Programm einer Selbstsozialisation formuliert und durchgesetzt wird. Abschließend werden Verbindungslinien zum Konzept der Selbstbildung gezogen und absehbare Konsequenzen für pädagogisches Handeln und für pädagogische Institutionen diskutiert." (Autorenreferat) |
| Abstract (English): | This essay aims at discussing the theoretical concept of selfsocialisation. It has been advocated in recent years by some scholars of disciplines like sociology, psychology, anthropology, among others, to revitalise the paradigm of socialisation theory and research. It is shown that the term selfsocialisation comprises three different meanings: autonomous agency of individual actors, the group related process of socialisation among peers, and socialisation of a nucleus personality („self"). Using a sociology-of-knowledge style of analysis, the social and cultural context of origin of the new concept b described and evaluated. Finally the author puts forward some theses about the modennising effects we may expect within educational settings, in case the trend towards selfsocialisation continues. (DIPF/Orig.) |
