| Abstract (German): | Was brauchen StudentInnen, um auf dem Institut gut arbeiten und lernen zu können? Wie können sie das Institut ohne bauliche Veränderungen mit zusätzlichen Lernräumen ausstatten – auch wenn die finanziellen Mittel gering sind? Diese Fragen standen am Beginn eines Projekts am Institut für Erziehungs- und Bildungswissenschaft an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (2017-2018). Ziel war, die ungenutzten Zwischenräume des Instituts so zu nutzen, dass sie auf die unterschiedlichen Bedürfnisse der Lernenden abgestimmt sind, multifunktional eingesetzt werden und ein Gefühl des Willkommen-Seins vermitteln können. Der vorliegende Beitrag beschreibt Ausgangslage, Umsetzung und Ergebnisse des Projektes und gibt Einblick in die Evaluierung der Zufriedenheit, Nutzungsgewohnheiten und Akzeptanz der neugestalteten Lern- und Begegnungsräume. Interessantes Ergebnis: Die Studierenden sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Arrangement der Lernräume. Sie nutzen die neuen Lernmöglichkeiten vermehrt für Gruppenarbeiten: Alleine gelernt und gearbeitet wird jedoch bevorzugt zu Hause. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | What do we students need to be able to work well and study in our department? How can we provide our department with additional learning spaces without making structural changes – and also if funding is limited? These were the questions at the start of a project at the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Graz (2017-2018). The goal was to exploit the unused spaces at the institute so that they are adapted to the different needs of the learners, employed in a multifunctional manner and able to convey a sense of welcome. This paper describes the starting point, implementation and results of the project, providing insight into the evaluation of satisfaction, habits of use and acceptance of the newly designed learning and meeting spaces. One interesting finding is that the students are very satisfied with the arrangement of the learning spaces. They use the new learning opportunities more frequently for group work, yet when alone, they prefer to study and work at home. (DIPF/Orig.) |
