| Abstract (German): | Der vorliegende Beitrag zeigt, dass Angeboten der arbeitsorientierten Grundbildung das Potenzial inhärent ist, den Emanzipationsgedanken und den Befähigungsgedanken gleichermaßen zu verfolgen, wenn Motivation und Interesse der LernerInnen bei der Angebotskonzeption und Umsetzung in den Mittelpunkt rücken. Vorgestellt und diskutiert werden hierfür zwei Projekte aus der Praxis der Arbeitsgemeinschaft ARBEIT UND LEBEN: „BasisKomPlus – Basiskompetenz am Arbeitsplatz stärken“ und „eVideo – Lernen mit Web Based Trainings“. Kernzielgruppe sind Beschäftigte in an und ungelernten Tätigkeiten bzw. sog. „Geringqualifizierte“. Ein Fazit der AutorInnen: Die skizzierten Angebote unterscheiden sich gerade darin von Maßnahmen, die stringent auf die berufliche Verwertbarkeit ausgerichtet sind, dass sie für die LernerInnen einen mehrdimensionalen Befähigungsraum öffnen. Zum einen erhalten die TeilnehmerInnen die Möglichkeit, Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, ohne die sie möglicherweise langfristig aus dem Arbeitsmarkt gedrängt werden oder in niedrigen und damit auch niedrig bezahlten Tätigkeiten verbleiben müssen. Zum anderen wird der Betrieb zum Bildungsort, in dem Perspektiven und Reflexionsräume eröffnet werden, die darüber hinaus reichen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | This article shows that the potential to pursue thoughts of emancipation and thoughts of qualification equally is inherent to joboriented basic education courses if learner motivation and interest are the focus of course design and implementation. In this context, two projects of the working group ARBEIT UND LEBEN are presented and discussed: „BasisKomPlus – Basiskompetenz am Arbeitsplatz stärken“ (Strengthening Basic Competence at the Workplace) and „eVideo – Lernen mit Web Based Trainings“ (Learning with Web Based Trainings). The main target group consists of employees in skilled and unskilled jobs and socalled „lowskilled workers“. The authors‘ conclusion: The course offerings differ from measures strictly oriented to professional applicability in that they open up a multidimensional space in which learners can acquire competences. On the one hand, participants have the opportunity to develop skills without which they might be excluded from the job market in the longterm or must remain in menial and thus lowerpaid jobs. On the other hand, the company becomes a location for education by opening up perspectives and space for reflection that extend far beyond the workplace. (DIPF/Orig.) |
