| Abstract (German): | Bildung wird zunehmend auf „Employability“ und Brauchbarkeit reduziert. Wäre es da nicht naheliegend, ein humanistisches Bildungsideal, das die Persönlichkeitsentfaltung und eine offen zu gestaltende und veränderbare Zukunft zum Ziel hat, als Weg aus dieser Verengung zu sehen? Der vorliegende Beitrag setzt sich mit dieser Frage umfassend auseinander, lässt sie aber letztlich offen, da auch der Humanismus keineswegs unkritisiert bleiben kann. Der Autor dekonstruiert den Humanismus als Kaschierung von Ungleichheit und Reproduktion von Macht und bürgerlichem Status, arbeitet aber auch dessen Potenziale heraus, um einem alternativlosen, neoliberalen Grundkonsens entgegenzuwirken. Er bezieht dazu Friedrich Schillers Briefe zur ästhetischen Erziehung ebenso mit ein wie Gayatri Chakravorty Spivaks Dekonstruktion humanistischer Ansätze. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Education is increasingly being reduced to employability and usefulness. Wouldn‘t it be natural to see a humanistic educational ideal that targets personal growth and a freely organized and modifiable future as a way out of this narrowing? This article deals extensively with this question yet ultimately leaves it open since humanism as well cannot remain without criticism. The author deconstructs humanism as the disguising of inequality and reproduction of power and bourgeois status yet also elaborates its potential to counteract a neoliberal consensus that has no alternatives. He refers to Friedrich Schiller‘s Letters on Aesthetic Education as well as Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak‘s deconstruction of humanist approaches. (DIPF/Orig.) |
