| Abstract (German): | Die Hochschuldidaktik bleibt kontrovers; staatliche Maßnahmen zur "Verbesserung der Lehre" haben ihr sowohl Unterstützung als auch neue Kritik eingebracht. Der Artikel sammelt und erörtert die wichtigsten Argumente für und gegen diese Arbeitsrichtung anhand der Fragen, wieweit Hochschuldidaktik als Teil der Pädagogik anerkannt wird, mit welchem Recht die Hochschule, die Stätte der Wissenschaft, als Gegenstand der Pädagogik betrachtet werden kann, ob Hochschuldidaktik, wie ihr vorgeworfen wird, an der beklagten Reglementierung und Verschulung der Hochschule schuldig ist oder ihr gerade entgegenzuwirken versucht (Stichworte: Wissenschaftsdidaktik, Vermittlungsprobleme, Hochschulsozialisation). In einem Ausblick auf die Zukunft wird vermutet, daß die Aufgaben der Hochschuldidaktik, die Vermittlung zwischen der Idee des Studiums und den Voraussetzungen der Studierenden, der Lehrenden und der Reflexion der Lernsituationen, weiter wachsen werden, aber befürchtet, daß die Konjunktur staatlicher Interventions- und Evaluationsprogramme sich darauf ambivalent auswirken könnte. | Abstract (English): | The didactics of higher education remain controversial; measures taken by the State in order to "improve" university teaching have produced both support and renewed criticism. The author summarizes and discusses the major arguments for and against this field of work by enquiring into the following questions: to what extent is the didactics of higher education recognized as a part of pedagogics; on what grounds may the university, the place of science, be considered a subject of pedagogics; is the didactics of higher education - as has often been claimed - actually guilty of the deplored reglementation and school-like regulation of the university or does it, rather, trie to work against this development (keywords: didactics of science, problems of mediation, socialization in universities). Sketching the prospects of the didactics of higher education, the author deems it likely that its tasks, i.e. the mediation between the idea of academic studies and the qualifications of students and university teachers as well as the reflection of the learning Situation, will continue to increase, but at the same time he fears that the trend towards State programs of intervention and evaluation may have an ambivalent effect on this development.
