(DIPF/Orig.) |
Abstract (English): | The article analyses the work of a 19-year-old prize winner of the German Youth Photo Award 2010. In order to look at the pictures the authors used two methodical approaches: the serial-iconographic photo analysis and the documentary method. In this article methodological differences are less important than the joint interpretations. We understand pictures as visual self-expressions of their producers. The photographs of the young awardee show a specific youthful self-conception. It is expressed as a body-bound practice and the teenagers' focus on the moment. This might be a central aspect of modern visual youth culture. (DIPF/Orig.) |
