| Abstract (German): | Zur Annäherung an Antworten auf die im Titel aufgeworfenen Fragen enthält der Beitrag Überlegungen zu terminologischer und konzeptioneller Grundlagenarbeit der Musikpädagogik über Darstellungen von Ergebnissen „philosophischer Forschung“ (Rolle, 2018). Ausgegangen wird von Bestimmungen musikpädagogisch-wissenschaftlicher Theorie, die nach H. J. Kaiser (1995) Theorien zur Kunst mit solchen zu gesellschaftlich bezogenem bzw. verantwortetem Handeln zusammenzuführen hat. Dieser Strategie von Theoriebildung folgend werden in der Studie Theorien zu Kunst (nach Luhmann) bzw. zu Musik als Kunst (nach Seibert) sowie soziologische Theorien zu Profession und Professionalität aufgearbeitet und in beispielhafte Möglichkeiten musikpädagogischer Weiterführungen und Konkretisierungen geführt. | Abstract (English): | What are the conditions under which the teaching of the ‘musical artist’ can be called a profession? Interested in the development of music-pedagogical scientific theory, this essay aims to define these terms. In doing so, it refers to H. J. Kaiser (1995), who combined theories of art with those on socially related and responsible action. Following this strategy of forming a theory, studies of the theory of art (acc. to Luhmann), the theory of music as art (acc. Seibert) and sociological theories about profession and professionalism are explored, before concluding considerations are given to examples and possibilities of future music-pedagogical applications.
