| Abstract (German): | Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, welchen Sinn und welche Funktion Bildungsstandards für die Entwicklung des deutschen Schulsystems haben können. Es werden Überlegungen angestellt, unter welchen Voraussetzungen die Steuerung des Schulsystems mittels Bildungsstandards sinnvoll für ein chancengleiches demokratisches Schulwesen und für eine pädagogische Qualitäts- und Schulentwicklung sein kann.
