| Abstract (German): | In Deutschland geborene Migrantenkinder - künftig alle deutsche Staatsbürger - müssen die Herausforderung der gesellschaftlichen Modernisierung annehmen und eine schwierige Verbindung mit den Traditionen ihrer Familien finden. Während dies einem Teil von ihnen gelingt, scheitern noch zu viele in der Schule, in der Berufausbildung und im sozialen Leben. Diskutiert wird der dringend nötige Wandel der heutigen Schule, um die Einwandererkinder besser zu unterstützen. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Children of immigrants, born in Germany, - in the future, all of them German citizens - have to accept the challenge of social modernization and find a connection with the traditions of their families. Whereas some of them succeed, too many of them fail school, in vocational education and in social life. The urgent changes of today's school will be discussed to better support immigrant children.
