| Abstract (German): | Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung ist ein Konzept, das darauf abzielt, Menschen zu befähigen, auf der Grundlage fundierten Wissens über komplexe Zukunftsfragen kreativ und verantwortungsvoll zur Gestaltung von Gegenwart und Zukunft im Sinne einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung beizutragen. Das Ziel ist es, Kompetenzen zum systemischen und vorausschauenden Denken sowie zur interpersonellen und strategischen Zusammenarbeit zu entwickeln. Die Umsetzung von Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in der Hochschulbildung erfolgt durch interdisziplinäre und interkulturelle Lernarrangements sowie durch die Zusammenarbeit mit externen Partnern. Die Bedeutung von Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung wird international durch die Weltdekade und das Weltaktionsprogramm der UNESCO betont. (Herausgeber) |
| Abstract (English): | Education for sustainable development is a concept that aims to enable people to contribute creatively and responsibly to shaping the present and the future in terms of sustainable development on the basis of sound knowledge about complex future issues. The goal is to develop competencies for systemic and forward thinking as well as for interpersonal and strategic cooperation. Education for sustainable development is implemented in higher education through interdisciplinary and intercultural learning arrangements as well as through cooperation with external partners. The importance of education for sustainable development is emphasized internationally by the World Decade and the UNESCO World Action Program. (Editor) |
