| Abstract (German): | In der internationalen Berufsbildung dominiert eine Humankapital-Perspektive. Der Beitrag diskutiert den Capability-Ansatz (CA) als alternative Leitperspektive und Analyserahmen für soziale Gerechtigkeit im Kontext beruflichen Lernens. Anstelle der Fokussierung auf arbeitsmarktrelevante Kompetenzen stellt der CA die Erhöhung von Verwirklichungschancen ins Zentrum der Betrachtung. Der Beitrag betrachtet den CA als Erweiterung des Humankapital-Ansatzes und diskutiert dessen Umsetzung am Beispiel eines Berufsbildungszentrums im Kontext der südafrikanische Berufsbildungsreform. Er zeigt auf, dass die Anwendung des CA über Länder des Südens hinausreicht und von globaler Bedeutung ist. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | A human capital approach to ‘development’ is dominant in TVET. This paper discusses the capability approach (CA) as an analytical framework for social justice and alternative approach to TVET. The CA reaches beyond a perspective of providing competences in view of the labour market and focuses on human capabilities. The practical implementation of the CA is discussed using the example of a skills centre in the context of the South African TVET reform. It is highlighted that the CA is of global relevance in TVET.
