| Abstract (German): | Gesellschaftliche Prozesse von Säkularisierung und Re-Sakralisierung sollten auch den schulischen Religionsunterricht betreffen, denn er ist Teil des öffentlichen Bildungssystems in Deutschland. Der vorliegende Beitrag fragt deshalb anhand von zwei Indikatoren nach möglichen Effekten beider Prozesse. Er untersucht sowohl die Form des Religionsunterrichts als auch das professionelle Selbstverständnis der Religionslehrpersonen. Es zeigt sich, dass heutiger Religionsunterricht stark durch die religiöse Vielfalt der vorfindlichen Gesellschaft geprägt ist und sich darüber hinaus weitgehend mit den zivilgesellschaftlichen Spielregeln für eine Teilnahme von Religion am öffentlichen Diskurs arrangiert hat. Das deutet eher auf Säkularisierungsprozesse im Religionsunterricht im Sinn Charles Taylors hin als auf Prozesse von Re-Sakralisierung. (DIPF/Orig.) |
| Abstract (English): | Societal processes of secularization and re-sacralization should affect religious education in state schools, since this subject is part of the public education system in Germany. This article, therefore, focuses on two indicators to examine the possible effects of both processes: the form of religious education and the professional attitude of religious education teachers. The article shows that today's religious education is strongly affected by religious diversity and, moreover, has largely come to terms with the rules of civil society for the participation of religion in public discourse. This points more to secularization processes in religious education according to Charles Taylor than to processes of re-sacralization. (DIPF/Orig.) |
