| Abstract (German): | Bei der Verwendung schriftlicher Tests zur Erfassung des Professionswissens von Lehrkräften wird meist implizit davon ausgegangen, dass das erfasste Wissen relevant für das tatsächliche Lehrerhandeln ist. Dieser Beitrag argumentiert, warum diese Annahme auf theoretischer Ebene nicht gerechtfertigt ist und schlägt ein empirisches Prüfverfahren auf der Basis einer kombinierten Wissenserfassung und Unterrichtsanalyse unter spezifischen Rahmenbedingungen vor. | Abstract (English): | In recent research paper-and-pencil-tests are used to assess science teachers' professional knowledge as part of their professional action-competencies. Such an approach assumes that knowledge represented by test-scores plays an important role in teachers' actual classroom-performance. In this article we dispute this premise from a theoretical point of view, argue for specific validation studies and suggest a framework based on the analysis of videotaped lessons by criteria corresponding to the professional knowledge assessed through the particular knowledge test.
