| Abstract (German): | In dem Beitrag wird davon ausgegangen, dass eine heitere Arbeits- und Lernatmosphäre im Fremdsprachenunterricht unabdingbar ist. Sie ist ohne Humor wohl kaum zu erzeugen. Deshalb muss er als integraler Bestandteil des Unterrichts begriffen und praktiziert werden. Ob es sich um Anfänger- oder Fortgeschrittenenuntericht, um Arbeit an der Aussprache, am Wortschatz, an der Grammatik oder um die Entwicklung der Fertigkeiten, um Alltags- oder fachsprachliche Kommunikation handelt, immer muss Humor mit im Spiele sein. Seine gewichtige Rolle führt zu Konsequenzen sowohl auf der Lehr- als auch auf der Lernseite. Ausbildung, Fort- und Weiterbildung dürfen das Thema Humor im Fremdsprachenunterricht nicht geringschätzen oder gar ausklammern. So wie sich Lehrende um die Applikation von modernen Methoden des Unterrichtens bemühen, müssen sie sich um den gezielten Einsatz von Humor kümmern. Dabei kann man sich nicht nur auf die Humorangebote in den Lehr- und Lernmaterialien und -medien verlassen, sondern benötigt darüber hinaus sein eigenes individuelles Humorinstrumentarium. | Abstract (English): | Although humor is given more space in recent decades in foreign language learning, there are still immense shortcomings. The introductory article is to help reduce deficits in humorous teaching and learning. Starting from an overview of different types of humor and theoretically based explanations (for instance incongruity-, superiority-, relief-theories) humor is considered as an integral part of the learner’s motivation on the one hand and communication skills on the other. The theoretical foundations as well as the considerations of the specifics concerning foreign language teaching and learning make it possible to describe practicable objectives, functions, selection criteria and guidelines for the use of humor. Instructional examples illustrate the theoretical und practical discussion. (DIPF/Orig.) |
