Abstract (English):This paper reports on the results of a test development process that was conducted as part of the interdisciplinary FALKO project. Based on Lee Shulman’s theoretical taxonomy of teacher knowledge and the preliminary work of the COACTIV research program, six domain specific tests for assessing secondary school teachers’ content knowledge (CK) and pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) have been constructed and validated for the subjects German, English, Religious Education, Latin, Music Education and Physics. Results of the validation study provide evidence that Shulman’s categories CK and PCK are applicable to the professional knowledge of general music teachers. Furthermore, reliability and validity of the FALKO-M test can be considered as sufficient to permit its use in future research projects. (DIPF/Orig.)
