| Abstract (German): | Was motiviert junge Menschen dazu, Lehrerin oder Lehrer zu werden? Frühere Untersuchungen können hierzu nur noch begrenzt Auskunft geben, weil sich die gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse geändert haben. Diese Studie an der Universität München versucht, auf der Grundlage einer qualitativen Befragung von Studierenden verschiedene Motivkonstellationen zu identifizieren und diese nach Geschlecht und angestrebtem Lehramt zu differenzieren. | Abstract (English): | What motivates young people to become teachers? Previous research is only of limited use to answer this question, because the conditions have changed. A study based on interviews of teacher students al the University of Munich, tries to identify different constellations of motives and to differentiate them according to gender and the school branch these students train for.
