| Abstract (German): | Die Notwendigkeit der Erhöhung der Qualität und Effektivität vor allem des mathematisch-naturwissenschaftlichen Unterrichts ist spätestens seit TIMSS unbestritten. Wie können Erkenntnisse der Lern- und Entwicklungspsychologie für eine solche Effektivitätssteigerung nutzbar gemacht werden? Welche Bedeutung haben Lernen und Unterricht für die kognitive Entwicklung des Schülers, für das bessere Nutzbarmachen seiner kognitiven Potentiale? Aus konstruktivistischer Perspektive werden drei Modelle der kognitiven Entwicklung sowie ihre Implikationen für Lernen und Unterricht diskutiert. Vor allem mit Blick auf situiertes Lernen (kontextuierter Wissenserwerb, "situated cognition", "situated learning") werden Konsequenzen für den naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht und seine Gestaltung gezogen sowie Perspektiven der Anwendung moderner Lern-Lehr-Forschung in Schule und Unterricht aufgezeigt. | Abstract (English): | Since TIMMS the necessity of improving the quality and efficiency of instruction in mathematics and Science is again undisputed. How can findings of learning and developmental psychology be used for an improvement of efficiency? Which impact have learning and instruction on the cognitive development and for a better use of the cognitive potential of pupils? From a constructivistic approach three models of cognitive development and their implications for learning and instruction are discussed. Focussing on situated learning (contextualized knowledge acquisition, situated cognition and situated learning) conclusions for Science education and its instructional design will be drawn and perspectives of application of modern research on learning and instruction in school will be shown.
