| Abstract (English): | Dealing competently with the multitude of social challenges in a world characterized by chaos, complexity and unpredictability requires the development of future skills. The simulation game method is recognized for its high effectiveness in the context of competence-oriented teaching. Since the winter semester 2020/21, analog, digital, and hybrid simulation games have been developed, implemented, and evaluated with teacher education students at Trier University. In addition to providing insights into the concept of the “School of the Future” simulation game, selected results from the students’ reflections on the simulation game will be presented. The data, evaluated through qualitative content analysis, highlights the underestimated potential of the simulation game method concerning the promotion of future skills. (DIPF/Orig.) |
